In addition to a focus on contemporary designs, Warli prides itself on producing indoor and outdoor rugs in parts of the world with a long history of quality textiles and manual weaving. The company’s mission centers around caring for the environment, which is seen in the attention to production details, limited waste and use of recycled materials.

The company then summarizes by saying, “We reserve the same attention to the environment as we focus on our rugs and people who produce them. We follow sustainable practices using natural fibers, locally produced without any chemical treatment, azo free colors, natural adhesives such as Latex from the rubber tree.”

Meanwhile, the K&B catalog highlights these goals in each of the three rug options. The Chef rug is intended for kitchen use and features a repeated geometric pattern. It comes in an 80-centimeter width, or 31 inches, and is cut to custom lengths as the space requires. The handwoven rug is made from 100% recycled PET yarn. What’s more, 100 PET bottles are used for every square meter of carpet produced. The recycled plastic also ensures the rugs are washable, stain-resistant, fire-resistant and non-slip.

The second rug in the collection, designed by Paolo Zani, also keeps plastic out of the waste stream. Produced in the same color combinations of brown/burgundy, cream/light gray, cream/teal and warm gray/green-gray, the bath version highlights a Greek pattern. The similar Spa rug is made of the same material and offered in the same colors but has its own distinct playful intertwining.
