Zellee snacks are vegan and gluten-free for a healthy diet

Zellee snacks are vegan and gluten-free for a healthy diet

It may look rather unassuming at first, but this little pouch is stuffed with vitamins, organic fruit and flavor. Zellee is a plant-based snack with no added sugars, artificial flavors, dyes and animal gelatin. And that’s just the beginning.

Zellee was started and created by two moms, Eriko and Lisa. In fact, it all began in an ordinary kitchen. Eriko’s mother created her own plant-based gelatin desserts that she made from organic, natural and local materials. Eriko started making the same treats for her own children. They enjoyed the snacks so much, they encouraged their mother to start her own business. Thus, Zellee Organic was born. Eriko forged a partnership with her friend Lisa and the whole thing blossomed.

Today, Zellee is available in several flavors and all of them taste great. Zellee is free of the eight major food allergens. There is no gluten, no nuts and nothing that will aggravate the major food allergies. In other words, it doesn’t get much better than this.

There are several flavors available. Try the orange peach, blueberry grape, strawberry pear or apple mango. You can also try their plant-based sports jel. The sports jel is full of electrolytes and vitamins and comes in two flavors: Hawaiian tropical twist and aloha raspberry.

Furthermore, each pouch has vitamins A, C and D. There is half a cup of organic fruit in every serving. The fruit jell comes all the way from Maui and it tastes like it. As this fruit treat is made without gelatin, it’s not a gel. It’s a jel.

Additionally, one pouch of strawberry pear has 60 calories. It’s fat-free and loaded with prebiotics, real fruit and konjac, a root vegetable that grows in Asia. Konjac has been used for centuries to make noodles and other types of food. The natural fiber in konjac is filling and it expands in the stomach to help you feel full. Moreover, various studies linked konjac to healthy bowels, lower cholesterol and healthy skin.

The other ingredients used to make these fruit jels are probably much more familiar. Strawberries, blueberries, apples, mangos, grapes, oranges, peaches and pears are used in these snacks. They are locally sourced in Hawaii and used to create Zellee’s variety of delicious fruit treats.

To top it off, each pouch costs less than $20 and is available for purchase. You can order different flavors or get the sampler pack of all the flavors directly from the website. Kids and adults alike will enjoy these fruity snacks.

The flavors and even the texture itself of this tasty treat seem to represent Hawaii. The natural sweetness of the fruits and the gelatin from the plant evoke the spirit of the palm tree leaves. You can almost hear tropical birds chirping the trees with each slurp. They call it alohalicious, a combination of “aloha” and “delicious” that truly captures the spirit and the flavors of Zellee.
